Year 7 Report
Year 7 students experienced their first Swimming Carnival as a whole cohort. On the day, all Year 7 students were given the opportunity to take part in events including the novelties. Students who took part should be very proud of their achievements on the day. We were impressed by the number of students who volunteered to represent their house and the support house groups provided to swimmers.
The Year 7 students were also involved in the Water Corporation’s Waterwise Experience this term. This incursion aimed at enriching student learning in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum being taught in class. Students wore headphones in a silent disco-style activity where they rotated through different tents which held a number of informational activities relating to the importance of water. Students were highly engaged and enjoyed this experience immensely.
Many students have already been involved in Harmony Week activities, the Greatest Shave, Friday lunchtime games, Language clubs, Sports activities and a number of other activities the school has to offer. The Year 7 cohort have already made an impression on our school community and I hope to see them continue to engage in activities around the school.
