Year 10 Report
We would like to give a warm welcome back to our Year 10 students as they embark on an exciting and challenging year ahead. There’s a lot in store for them, from course counselling to preparing for OLNA and exams, and the highly anticipated Year 10 Dinner Dance.
This year provides many opportunities for Year 10 students to start exploring potential career paths and to engage in programs that can help shape their future. Events like "Try a Trade" will give students the chance to experience hands-on careers in various fields, while career guidance and course counselling will help them begin to think about their next steps. Keep an eye on the notices on the Year 10 Connect page for any exciting opportunities.
Attendance Process
If your child is absent from school, please notify us as soon as possible. You can do so by:
- SMSing the school on 0407 384 039
- Emailing kalamunda.shs@education.wa.edu.au
Alternatively, after 11:00 AM, you will receive an absence SMS. You can simply click the link provided in this message and submit a reason for your child's absence. This allows us to accurately record and manage attendance for your child.
Uniform Expectations
It’s been fantastic to see so many students returning in their correct school uniforms. They all look very grown-up and proud in their light blue polo shirts. A quick reminder: only navy bottoms are allowed as part of the school uniform.
Good Standing and Rewards
It’s important to note that any issues related to unexplained absences or non-compliance with the uniform policy may impact your child’s Good Standing status. This could affect their eligibility to participate in school rewards and events throughout the year.
I look forward to supporting all Year 10 students as they navigate this important year of their education, full of learning and growth. Let’s make this a year of success!
